En algunos lugares como Mérida y Campeche, empiezan el carnaval con la quema del mal humor. Es un rito donde queman una figura que representa el mal humor, para pasar en grande los días de carnaval, antes de la cuaresma. (In some places, like Mérida and Campeche, carnival starts with the “burning of the bad moods.” It is a ritual where a figure is burned representing bad moods, so that a very good time can be had during carnival (the days preceding Lent).
