Se prepara la tetela con masa de maíz y se hace una tortilla. Antes de cocerla se le pone un poco de frijol negro en pasta y se dobla la tortilla para formar un triángulo. Se cocina en el comal y se sirve con queso fresco, crema, y salsa. Hay un pueblo en Puebla con el nombre Tetela de Ocampo, pero el antojito viene de la Mixteca Oaxaqueña. La verdolaga (nombre científico portulaca oleracea) es una planta súper nutritiva. Contiene muchísimos ácidos omega 3, además de las vitaminas A, B, E y C y los minerales magnesio, calcio, e hierro.
