El vinagrillo es un insecto carnívero nocturno. Son feos pero útiles para comer y controlar las cucharachas y alacranes. Se llaman vinagrillo porque se parecen a un grillo y echan una sustancia que huele a vinagre cuando están molestos. (The vinegarroon, or whip scorpion, is a carnivorous nocturnal insect. They are ugly but useful for eating and controlling cockroaches and scorpions. They are called “vinagrillo” in Mexico because they look somewhat like a cricket (“grillo”) and emit a substance that smells like vinegar when they are alarmed.)
