Se puede tomar un paseo sobre los canales de Xochimilco en trajinera, pero no es recomendable en semana santa, cuando hay muchísima gente. En los antiguos tiempo se decoraban los barquitos de madera con flores de verdad, y luego con flores de plástico. Hoy día las flores están pintadas sobre las trajineras, y cada una lleva el nombre de una mujer.
