Punta de Mita: At the northern edge of humungous Bahia de Banderas, Punta de Mita has some of this bay’s loveliest beaches. Boats for the Marietas Islands depart from the small towns of Emiliano Zapata and Corral del Risco. El Anclote beach has many seafood restaurants right on the sand, and there are numerous surf spots accessible by boat. Punta de Mita is now best known for its super upscale development which houses the Four Seasons and St. Regis hotels as well as two golf courses, condos and luxury villas.
