About 35 km (tk miles) north of Zihuatanejo, Troncones is a laid-back little beach town and the preferred destination of those seeking less touristy digs, warm water, simple hotels and restaurants, and waves. Foreigners and nationals in search of the quiet life have built homes here, and some can be rented by the day, week or month. Framed in feathery palms, Troncones’ beaches are great for long walks and shelling.
