Nativo a regiones tropicales de Asia y América del Norte, aunque se da también en áreas no tropicales, esta hermosa planta da una flor blanca con un estambre también blanco. Debido a su forma, se le llama cuna de Moisés. Su nombre científico es cochlearispathum spathiphyllum. (Native to tropical regions of Asia and North America but found further afield, the beautiful peace lily (scientific name, spathiphyllum cochlearispathum) has a white flower with long stamen that is also white. Because of its shape, in Spanish it is called Moses’ cradle.)
