Second, the legal system in Mexico allows for strict adherence to traffic laws and substantial penalties for any violation including jail time, heavy fines, and confiscation of your vehicle. The liability coverage in your Mexican insurance policy provides proof that you can respond to any damages or injuries caused to others that you may be responsible for in case of an accident.
