Just north of Sayulita and San Pancho, Lo De Marcos has an odd name but a beautiful beach. It's a laid-back little town on the Pacific with plenty of palm trees and sandy streets. Basic hotels cater to families that come for weekends and holidays; more sophisticated types usually hole up elsewhere. Two beautiful coves at the south end of town are unfortunately slated for development as part of the new Riviera Nayarit.
