This fishing village has been dragged into the 21st century with the completion in 2008 of a new, private marina. New hotels and a few upscale restaurants are following, but the essence of this small village is still relaxed and friendy. The prettiest beach in the area is La Manzanilla, just north of town, where kids play on the beach and everyone enjoys a drink or a meal at one of the innocent eateries on the sand.
