Huatulco Profile

A low-key beach resort with nine bays and 36 beaches, this destination on the coast of Oaxaca is more for beach bums than for lounge lizards




Swimming Right outside your hotel in Tangolunda; more than a dozen good beaches to choose from

SurfingLa Bocana beach, Barra de la Cruz, 20 km east is great. Summer and fall are the best.

SnorkelingLots of variety, some organized tours, beach restaurants rent gear. There are many good sites in the bays around Huatulco with interesting rock formations and an abundance of fish. Try El Maguey Bay and Playa La Entrega.
