Bar-Restaurant 1910
Adorned with photos of the Mexican Revolution for which it is named, 1910 is tucked into a charming old building in the heart of town. It’s informal, with a small bar tucked cater-corner into the front room, and straw on the floor. Old rifles and hats complete the “bygone era” motif. The meal we had there was delicious: the best arrachera my companero had ever eaten, he said. (And trust me, he eats a lot.) Accompanying the meat were bunches of yummy french fries and a small salad.
Other choices are the New York or rib eye steak, a steaming molcajete (think fajitas served in a steaming cauldron), trout, or salmon (the latter not on the menu). For starters, choose the yummy sopes (we did, and they were good), queso fundido, or tlacoyos. This is the menu from noon to 7PM.
From 7 to 11, the menu switches gears: hamburgers and hot dogs cooked on the grill, nachos, and molletes.
