| About halfway between Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende, Dolores is a pleasant town of some 130,000 people. Known as the Cradle of the Independence movement, it offers several historical museums as well as a pretty main plaza, its famous homemade ice cream, and its trademark Talavera pottery. |
